Nancy Yema
Baskets woven in Bolgatanga, sold across Norway, and a partnership that keeps growing them.
The challenge
A beautiful product, a long way from its market.
Nancy Yema sells baskets and home décor hand-woven by artisans in Bolgatanga, Ghana, to customers across Norway. The craft was exceptional and the story was real. What the brand did not have was the digital ground to sell on.
It needed a premium store that did the products justice, a way to be found in a competitive Norwegian market, and a marketing engine that could keep pulling in the right customers. Not a one-time website, but a system that grows with the business.
The approach
We built the store first, then stayed. A WooCommerce site shaped around Scandinavian restraint, so the weaving is the loudest thing on the page. Then we became the brand’s growth partner: SEO, Google Ads and social, all run in-house so the work compounds instead of stalling after launch.
The through-line is trust. Every part of the experience, from the product page to the ad that led to it, has to feel as considered and as honest as the craft it sells.
Let the craft lead
Scandinavian minimalism by design, so the handwoven product is the focus and nothing competes with it.
Every basket has a story
Dedicated sections for the artisans, the technique and the journey from Bolgatanga to Norway. Story is what earns the trust to buy.
Found by the right people
SEO from day one and Google Ads built for high-intent shoppers, so qualified traffic finds the store instead of hoping to be stumbled upon.
A partner, not a handover
We keep running the site, the search work and the social, so the brand grows on every channel long after launch.
Strategy
Authentic Ghanaian craft, presented with Scandinavian calm, for a home that values both.
- Audience
- Design-minded shoppers across Norway who care where things come from and how they are made, and will pay for the real thing.
- Personality
- Warm, honest, understated, rooted in craft.
Origin
Bolgatanga is not a footnote. The hands, the technique and the heritage are told openly, because they are the reason to buy.
Calm
A Scandinavian aesthetic that clears space around the product, so the craft reads without any noise around it.
Continuity
A brand built to keep growing. The site is the start, and the marketing keeps it moving.

The store launched premium, the brand’s identity came through in the design, and shopping feels right on desktop and mobile alike. Underneath sits a real SEO foundation, Google Ads bringing in qualified traffic, and social keeping the brand present between purchases.
The point was never a single launch. Nancy Yema now has a scalable platform and an ongoing growth strategy across four channels, ready for the next collection and the next campaign.
Most projects like this one begin with a strategy engagement.
